It’s nearly 3am on Monday morning and I am wide awake. Ella woke me up at Midnight for a glass of water and we snuggled together in the rocker while she drank her water. She was burning up with fever so I gave her a chewable Tylenol and she was ready to go back to bed by 12:15am. I went to the bathroom, and while I am sitting there peeing, Ronin wakes up. So I get him out of bed and we snuggle in the rocker for at least 30 minutes and I put him back to bed and he is not happy. Crying out MOMEEEE, MOMEEEE and well since I can not bear to hear any of my children cry, I got him back up and we snuggled some more. Except this time I figured I’d multitask and finish an assignment for school that is due by Midnight on Monday. And yes! I finished it! With a sleeping toddler on my chest to boot!!
Today Jimmy and I took apart and returned the 18′ Intex above ground pool we bought in April. It was just too much work and it was making me very nervous. Ronin was figuring out how to climb up the sides and I even caught him bringing a stool outside to try to get in the pool. So I called the pool store, explained the situation, and they have a 90 day, no questions asked return policy. So we spent like 3 hours taking this damn pool apart, and wouldn’t ya know it but I pinched the hell out of my index finger with a set of vice grips. OMG, that hurt so badly and now it’s all swollen and bruised. But at least we don’t have to worry about that pool anymore. And the children have really been enjoying our clubhouse pool over any other pool, so we’re all set until we decide to spend the $50,000 on the in-ground pool of our dreams. It will happen soon, but I need a new vehicle first
My birthday is coming up soon. 8-8-8. Once in a lifetime birthday. So Jimmy told me to go ahead and make reservations for all 5 of us to spend my birthday weekend at the beach. We really are a sand and water family, and it makes perfect sense to spend my birthday on the beach. I found us a nice place on Madeira Beach that has 2 queen beds, plus a crib for Ronin. It also has a pool, full kitchen, and a late 4pm check-out. So we’ll be checking in late Friday afternoon on 8-8 and checking out at 4pm on 8-10. I’m really looking forward to it.
I guess that’s it for now. Morning time will be here before I know it so I need to try to get 3 hours of sleep. The trio all have preschool in the AM, so I suppose if I am exhausted, I can drop them off, and come home to take a nap. Though somehow I’m sure I’ll find something else to do besides sleep….
Peace out!
